Our BODY is our first home. Take good care!

In this competitive era, while chasing excellence in one’s job to attain the lifestyle of comfort, one tends to ignore making time for exercise and choosing healthy nutritious diet. Same is the case with home makers, who are so indulged in carrying out the daily tasks pertaining to cleaning, cooking, raising successful children that exercise takes a backseat. Catering to the food taste needs of child, the nutritious diet gets replaced by unhealthy junk foods. It takes time to develop a sense of taste to incline towards choosing healthier options over junk tasty food options. One can experiment with cooking healthy foods by trying to enhance the taste. I find YouTube as a go-to option for various alternatives to cook tasty healthy food.

I, hereby, bring the attention of the readers to dedicate 30 mins of exercise time everyday and to always choose healthier nutritious diet and opt for restaurants which serve healthy options while meeting for team lunch or dinners.

I understand that one may get so engrossed in this busy life of daily commute for work, long working hours that the time for home cooking and exercising becomes very minimal, almost zilch and if at all one gets time, there is no energy to cook or exercise after long working hours.

Is there any solution to this?

  • I would like to emphasize that make 30 mins exercise time, in the evening or morning for a simple walk or do home exercises, there are plenty of good home workout videos online and on YouTube. Try not to give excuse and make it a habit to dedicate 30 mins for your body. Without proper functioning of the body, one will be left out as incapable to perform job duties and the chase to attain the lifestyle of comfort will get converted to lifestyle of managing diseases and health as one gets old. Just imagine, a dedicated half an hour of exercise can transform the life to lead a healthier, satisfying lifestyle as one gets old.
  • Plan meals weekly and over the weekends, do meal preparation like cutting vegetable in advance to make healthy homemade foods to ease the process of cooking after long hours of work and to dedicate more time for other activities which aligns with our passion. Opt for restaurants which gives healthier wholesome food options, when opting to dine out with friends and colleagues.

I have taken this challenge to adhere to minimum of 30 mins of exercise of some form, be it walking, home workouts, yoga and dance and to commit to meal preparation in advance to ease the process of cooking healthier home foods. I really hope everyone finds time to dedicate this valuable care time for our body which we live in.
